Susan Jenkins: General Manager

Susan is a Beaumont native with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education. Her goals for the resort include maintaining the highest standards of guest services and a philosophy that highly values her employees. In her spare time, she enjoys snow skiing and traveling with her husband Jody and sons, Trey and Weston.

        Buck Shannon: Entertainment Director

Tawni grew up in a small community in Alaska with horses but left after finishing school to move to warmer climate and better year-around riding weather. She traveled the states and was a barrel racing & team roping competitor in rodeo for many years. She now owns ranch property hidden in the hills of Bandera, raising horses & cattle w/ her husband and has chosen to follow her heart keeping horses involved in her everyday life as a working cowgirl. For the past 15 years she has grown w/ the Flying L Ranch serving many of those years as the Head Wrangler overseeing the stables operation of over 50 head of beautiful horses and a crew of up to 8 cowboys/girls. When not riding at the Flying L, she travels with the World Famous “Catalena Cowgirls” to rodeos & special events nationwide performing precision drills on big paint horses at breakneck speed displaying a patriotic flare of red, white & blue flags & fireworks!

Joni Peterson: Group Coordinator

Joni began with the Flying L approximately 4 years ago as our Country Line dance instructor. Young and old love kicking up their heels and boot scootin across the dance floor under the stars at Ghost Town with Joni. When Joni is not kicking up her heels on the dance floor, you can find her coordinating all groups and all of their needs with that Texas friendly attitude.  

Janet Mireles: Front Desk and Kids Activities Manager

Janet has dual duty here at the Flying L with being the Front Desk Manager and Kid's Activities Manager. She makes sure all is running smooth as guests check in or out and that all of their needs are met. As Kid's Activities Manager she is very creative with all the activities she provides for your children to have the most fun possible while here at the ranch.

Danielle Bates: Branding Iron Saloon Manager

Danielle has been working at the Flying L for 4 years. She has been a part of the Flying L since she was a child growing up as the Flying L grew when her mother was part of our family 25 years ago. The Branding Iron Saloon wouldn't run as smooth as Patron if it wasn't for her and the crew she has under her guidance. With a smile like hers she is definetly a star of the Flying L.

Bill Chapman: Director of Golf

Bill grew up in nearby Kerrville, Texas. Bill has been playing golf since the early age of eight. He comes to us from Houston, Texas where he was the Head Golf Professional at Magnolia Creek in League City, Texas. Bill has over 20 years in the retail business with emphasis on Customer Service. He was also in the golf business in Atlanta for four years and four years in Austin as well. He looks forward to meeting each and every one of you.

Diane Hagne, Food and Beverage Director

Diane has been with the Flying L Guest Ranch for many years and has been newly appointed as the Food and Beverage Manager. Diane is a hands on manager and strives to please each and every guests as if they were visiting in her own home.  Most of the holiday decorating is all done by Diane.
